Washington D.C., USA — Conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA (TPUSA) says it has received an unprecedented surge of requests from students across the United States to start new campus chapters following the shocking assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk.
According to TPUSA, more than 32,000 requests poured in within just 48 hours of the incident, a figure the organization described as “truly incredible” and symbolic of Kirk’s influence on conservative youth activism.
Kirk, who founded the movement in 2012 at just 18 years old, had grown TPUSA into one of America’s largest student-led conservative organizations, with a presence in thousands of high schools and colleges nationwide. His sudden death last week has drawn reactions from across the political spectrum, sparking tributes from allies and renewed debate from critics.
TPUSA said the overwhelming student response reflects a determination to keep Kirk’s vision alive. “This moment has energized a new generation of students who want to defend freedom, free markets, and limited government,” the group said in a statement released Monday.
While law enforcement authorities continue to investigate the assassination, political observers note that the movement’s growth could reshape youth activism in the U.S., especially ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
